DSyou

As a student at Douglas College, you are a member of the Douglas Students' Union (DSU), Canadian Federation of Students Local 18. The Students' Union advocates for students though a comprehensive campaigns and lobbying strategy directed at policy-makers, and represents students' needs and concerns to university administrators, governments, and community agencies. The Students' Union also provides many services to improve the lives of its members and save them money.

The Douglas Students' Union is one of the founding members of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS), and works with more than 80 other member students' unions of the Federation across the country to campaign for more accessible post-secondary education and to provide services to students.

All Douglas students, as members, are entitled to vote in any election or referendum of the Union, be candidates in elections, attend and speak at Representative Committee meetings, participate in campaigns and committee work, and benefit from membership services.

Douglas College has two campuses located in the greater Vancouver area. The New Westminster campus of the College houses the College's administration. It is also the location of the Students' Union Building (SUB). The SUB houses the Students' Union's administrative offices and is the location at which most of the Students' Union's elected representatives hold office hours.

The David Lam campus, located on Pinetree Way in Coquitlam, was officially opened in 1996. The Students' Union has a David Lam campus office and is able to provide many of the same services available at the New Westminster campus.
